1. Concept:
The thermal conductivity measuring instrument is a new type of testing equipment designed according to the national standard GB10294 "Determination of Steady-State Thermal Resistance and Related Characteristics of Thermal Insulation Materials by Guarded Hot Plate Method". It is suitable for measuring the thermal conductivity of various homogeneous plate-shaped thermal insulation materials and non-good conductive materials. This machine uses a microcomputer for automatic control, featuring automatic control of the experimental process, temperature and power curve display, automatic data collection, and report generation, among other characteristics, making it highly intelligent. It is an ideal choice for conducting such testing projects in China.

3. Principle:
Under steady-state conditions, a constant heat flow is established in the central measurement area of the guarded hot plate device within a uniform plate specimen with parallel surfaces, similar to that existing in an infinite plate bounded by two parallel isothermal plates.

6. Structure of the Testing Device:
It uses a dual specimen guarded hot plate method, consisting of a microcomputer control system, measurement heating unit, cold plate unit, guard unit, external guard unit, measurement system, pressing system, and refrigeration system.
1. Microcomputer Automatic Control System:
The computer outputs signals through I/O and D/A conversion to control the corresponding execution units, achieving functions such as temperature control, calculation, temperature collection, printing test reports, and displaying process curves. The human-computer interaction window displays the temperature values of each surface and has a self-diagnosis function.
2. Measurement Heating Unit:
Uses aluminum plates with high thermal conductivity as heating panels, which ensures a more uniform temperature on the heating plate surface and smaller thermal inertia, thus making the measurement results more accurate.
3. Cold Plate Unit:
Uses a single water tank structure (with antifreeze), and through microcomputer automatic control of the water circulation system of the two cold plates, achieves automatic control of the temperature of the cold plates on both sides, helping to equalize the temperature difference between the two sides of the hot plate.
4. Guard Unit:
Uses the same panel material as the measurement heating unit, precisely controlling the distance of the gap and the temperature difference on both sides to reduce the temperature imbalance and lower the testing error.
External Guard Unit:
Uses a protective cover made of cork as the external guard unit, making the experimental environmental conditions more stable, which helps improve testing accuracy.
6. Measurement System:
Uses more stable imported digital temperature sensors and high-precision DC power sensors to ensure more accurate data collection results.
7. Pressing System:
Uses linear bearing guidance, universal joint positioning, smooth operation, and manual pressing.
8. Refrigeration Mechanism:
Uses a compressor that can quickly lower the cold plate temperature and the average temperature of the specimen below the detection of the greenhouse, expanding the detection range and making it unaffected by environmental temperature.
